Thank you for your interest in 1:1 Mentoring with me! I bring to the table 20+ years of photography experience, local/national/international recognition and publication for my work (including an exclusive segment on The Today Show and an 8 page exclusive spread in The Kansas City Star), having run a successful and ever evolving portrait business in two states over the past 11 years, and thousands upon thousands of hours of self study, education and experience. I have photographed large commercial campaigns for Pampers, HCA Midwest Hospital System, and March of Dimes. I shoot 100% manual controls on both my digital and film cameras to the point they are an extension of myself. My main goal in offering the 1:1 Mentoring opportunities is to help you learn to take full control of your camera by teaching you how to shoot in manual mode, what to look for in proper lighting and angles to look for to shoot creatively with your imagery.
If you’re serious in wanting to learn how to properly use your camera and/or start a portrait photography business, this is an amazing opportunity for you to get custom tailored hands on education to help your flourish and start on a bright path from an expert mentor.
There are three mentoring paths for you to choose from based upon your need. Requirements for either are:
• Must already own your own DSLR as long as it can shoot in Manual Mode (Must be a DSLR, no point and shoots)
• Must have Adobe Lightroom and ability to FaceTime/Skype
• Must be willing to meet in Johnson County
• Mentorship must be completed no later than Aug 15th 2019
Full Foundation Mentorship | 1600
– Two 90 minute hands on sessions to learn how to shoot in full manual mode on your camera
– Two follow up 30-45 minute FaceTime/Skype sessions to go through your images to analyze progress
– One hour long on location photo session (I provide the models) with my help to identify lighting, posing, and creative guidance
– Two hour long in person follow up session to review images from your shoot, review technical progress and basic editing suggestions (it must be mentioned this is not an editing course)
– Three Hour Lunch meeting or two 90 minute Skype sessions going over legalities of running a portrait business and how to get set up
– Calculating cost of doing business and pricing accordingly
– How to make an amazing client experience
– Entry Level marketing
– On going support via email or text

Technical Mentorship | 1200

As an expert working professional in the field I can assure you that the best way to learn is not through just books or Youtube videos but by diving in and getting hands on experience. You need to be able to feel the camera in your hands with someone that can teach you how to use it in person, know what to look for in proper lighting and composition, and most importantly, someone who can answer your questions and guide you in the direction you need to go. While the in person hours in the mentorship needs to be completed by August 15th, you will still be able to email or text me with questions afterwards to help you succeed. This mentorship is not meant to teach you how to shoot like me, this is to teach you how to shoot properly and give you the proper foundation to unleash your inner creative control to discover how to shoot like you.
