A couple weekends ago we did the second annual date of mini sessions at Liberty Memorial (the amazing WWI memorial and museum in downtown Kansas City) and had such fun. I only shoot here once a year because while it can provide a cool backdrop of the city, it can be a challenge to shoot here without clouds since there isn’t much shade to help diffuse the bright sunlight. On this particular morning it was indeed very sunny (and hot! hot! hot!) out so we did most of the sessions in the shade by one of the museum entries which have really pretty tile with a quick jot out to the wall for the cityscape. This location may come back next Spring instead of summer, so stay tuned!
Here’s a round up of the fun sessions. The families received more than what’s shown, but here are my faves from each one. =)
This last set was from the first of the day, we had a bit of unique scheduling before the main mini sessions kicked off so we were able to snap a few at the top of the hill by the wall and then down on the grass.
Looking forward to next year at this location, we’ll switch it up a bit! Thanks everyone for coming out!
