The front entrance of Nelson Atkins is one of my favorite places to do sessions at, whether it’s a mini session or a longer one. It can however be a tough one as it faces due south so with the bright sunlight I usually only do these either in the evening or early morning. It’s a timeless location and Kansas City classic with the steps and columns, the Shuttlecocks (or as we call them in Canada, Birdies), and the manicured landscaping. Perfect for all seasons, groupings (couples, families, etc), and extended family sessions. I’ve got two dates coming up for this Fall, one THIS SATURDAY October 7th which I have a few openings left, and then last one for the year is on Saturday November 18th. Would love to see you there!
